Today is the day.
The day she’s waiting for all her life.
She sat at the end of the classroom and gave out a big sigh.
She’s Erin James; a.k.a. “The Biggest Loser of All Time”.
All her life she studied here, at Twilight Academy. From nursery ‘til this point she tried her best not to give up. When her parents said that they we’re moving to another country, you couldn’t measure up her happiness.
She will finally be able to renew her life.
“What’s so wrong with the place?” you may ask.
It’s not the place; it’s a certain somebody; that particular somebody is Cameron Langdon.
Cameron is the school’s most popular guy. He’s the captain of their basketball varsity and student body president. Erin doesn’t know why but Cameron seems to loathe her.
She remembered her first day of kindergarten. Little Erin shyly sat at one corner when the teacher led Cameron to the seat beside her.
He sat and gave her a grin while Erin merely smiled back.
“What’s your name?” the young lad asked his seatmate.
“E-erin” She stuttered.
“Hi Erin, I’m Cameron! You can call me Cammie or Cam if you like!”
He was so different during those days. He used to be kind to her, he used sit with her during lunch, they used to play with Barbie dolls.
But now... all of those are just memories.
Forgotten memories.
Cameron came in the classroom, together with his friends Tyler and Erik. The trio sat three chairs west of Erin.
A few seconds passed by when the two snickered at Cameron as he tried to hide his face.
“You have got to be kidding me, dude!” Erik said.
“That’s the reason why you don’t have a girlfriend yet!?” Tyler added.
“Shut up, you two.” He paused “You don’t know what it’s like…”
‘What the heck are they talking about, is Cameron gay and they just found out now?’ Erin thought to herself.
She tried to ignore the big ruckus and shifted her attention to there teacher who just came in.
“Okay class. Big announcement just made by the principal. This period is a free period and all of you may go out now.”
The whole class started to move out; Erin lazily grabbed her messenger bag and practically dragged it out of the classroom.
She went to the kindergarten area and sat under the tree she always loved. It used to be the place when she and Cammie hung out.
She gazed out the playground. Little children playing everywhere, they all seem so carefree, as if problems we’re non-existent.
She pulled out something from her bag, it was a small box. She’s supposed to bring this with her; but… she thought it’s better to leave it here.
Erin started to dig a whole and placed the small box inside; she started to cover it up with soil until it was completely buried.
She stood up and went inside to empty her locker and tell the principal.
From afar; Cameron observed what she did. He came to where she was sitting, he knelt and started digging whatever it was she had buried.
It was a small box.
A red box to exact, he opened it saw what was inside. He smiled to himself as he saw pictures of them both when they we’re still young.
There was one where he was giving her his ice-cream; one where he was chasing her around; and one where he ‘accidentally’ kissed her on the lips during her 5th birthday.
He placed his finger on his lips, “My first kiss” he whispered.
He took the box and placed it in his bag.
RING
The school bell rang; Cameron started to walk towards their building with an unreadable face.

Erin closed the door behind her and started to silently walk on the hallway, everyone is already in their classes and she was all alone. At least that’s what she thought.
“Hey”
She heard a voice call out to her.
She looked and saw Cameron putting something in his locker.
“What?” She asked in an annoyed tone.
“Where are you going?” He closed his locker.
“Somewhere. It’s not like anyone would care. No one in this place would notice I disappeared. No one will miss me.” Erin started walking towards the door.
When Erin was already gone, an involuntary tear fell from the boy’s I eyes, “You’re wrong” He forced out a weak smile, “I will”
